Journal of Electrical Vocational Education (JEVE), e-ISSN 3110-486X is an open-access academic journal published by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia. As an platform, JEVE seeks to foster the exchange of knowledge and ideas by promoting the integration of electrical engineering studies and vocational education.
The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality original research articles, case studies, and theoretical papers that explore various aspects of technical and vocational education. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, curriculum innovation, instructional strategies, competency-based training, industry linkages, and the impact of digital transformation on teaching and learning in vocational and technical fields.

Current Issue
Vol. 2 No. 1 (2026) Journal of Electrical Vocational Education (JEVE) presents a collection of studies highlighting current innovations and challenges in electrical vocational education. The issue explores the application of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) to enhance students’ critical and creative thinking, learning outcomes, and practical competencies, alongside studies on students’ perceptions of work-based learning experiences. Several articles emphasize the integration of digital technologies into vocational learning through Google Assistant, simulation, instructional video, and virtual laboratory platforms, while other studies address the development of instructional materials and training media for air-conditioning and electrical installation practices. The issue also examines occupational safety practices in electrical workshops and explores the role of Artificial Intelligence in supporting students’ conceptual understanding during practical report preparation. Collectively, these contributions demonstrate the growing integration of innovative pedagogical approaches, digital technologies, and competency-oriented learning to strengthen the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of electrical vocational education
